WV4A organized the Black History Month’s Event in Cambridge on 7th October 2023 at Clay Farm Centre, Hobson Square Trumpington, Cambridge CB2 9FN. The afternoon event provided an excellent opportunity for people from different backgrounds and nationalities to come together for family fun and to celebrate Black History Month. It promoted the history and contributions from black people with origins in Africa, the Caribbean, North and South America and other Black communities and our diaspora around the world. On that day we as a diaspora promoted our mother countries, languages, culture, values and more. The event was honored by the attendance of the Mayor of Cambridge Councillor Jenny Gawthrope Wood; and High Commissioners from Gambia. Forty nationalities come together for this event.
